Job Description:

Are you passionate about fitness and looking to make a positive impact in your local community? The Town of Gawler is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Aqua Instructor to join the team at the Gawler Aquatic Centre. This is your chance to lead Aquaerobics classes in a fun and supportive environment while enjoying the sunshine this summer.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide professional instruction in Aquaerobics classes, ensuring they are safe, fun, and engaging
  • Supervise participants and ensure their safety, responding to first aid and emergency situations as needed
  • Set up and pack up equipment for classes, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and Centre procedures
  • Deliver excellent customer service, effectively liaising and communicating with participants
  • Positively promote the Town of Gawler and its Aquatic & Recreation Services programs

Requirements:

  • Aqua Fitness Qualification or AUSTSWIM WETS
  • CPR
  • Working With Children Check
  • 1 year experience

Nice to have:

  • AUSTSWIM or equivalent Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
  • Provide First Aid
  • Child Safe Environments
  • Pool Lifeguard
  • Certificate III or IV in Fitness and Personal Training
  • Experience teaching Aquaerobics
