Job Description:
The WHS & Wellbeing Advisor is responsible for a range of tasks including, but not limited to: Provide high-level, evidence-based advice to managers and staff on a broad range of operational and strategic WHS issues, including complex and sensitive matters, exercising sound judgement and professional discretion. Interpret, apply and provide guidance on Commonwealth WHS legislation, regulations and associated codes of practice to support organisational compliance and effective risk management. Lead the development, coordination and delivery of WHS projects and initiatives, including planning activities, managing competing priorities and contributing to continuous improvement outcomes. Support the development, implementation and review of the WHS and Wellbeing Strategy and the Psychosocial Risk Action Plan, including analysing risk data, advising on controls and monitoring effectiveness. Maintain oversight of the WHS Risk Register, including reviewing and updating risks and controls, analysing trends and providing advice on risk mitigation strategies Manage and support WHS incident and injury notifications and investigations, including conducting or overseeing root cause analysis and advising on corrective and preventative actions. Coordinate and deliver monthly wellbeing sessions and WHS awareness initiatives, engaging internal stakeholders and external providers to enhance workforce capability and wellbeing outcomes. Prepare high-quality WHS reports, briefs, dashboards and correspondence for Executive leadership and governance committees, providing clear analysis, insights and recommendations. Provide professional support and coordination to Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs), and contribute to the development, review and continuous improvement of WHS policies, procedures, guidance material and intranet content, while building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
