Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and adaptable HR professional at the APS6 level to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced HR environment. This role requires demonstrated experience in HR consulting, project management, communications, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will be confident working across a variety of HR initiatives and will play a key role in delivering strategic outcomes for the agency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide high-quality HR consulting services across the agency, including advice on policy, employee relations, workforce planning, and organisational change
  • Manage and contribute to HR projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring milestones are met and outcomes achieved
  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies to support HR initiatives and organisational goals
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective consultation and collaboration
  • Analyse workforce data and prepare clear, concise reports and briefings for senior management
  • Adapt quickly to varying working environments and priorities, applying sound judgement in complex and sensitive situations
  • Use Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) at an advanced level to support HR processes, reporting, and communication

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in HR consulting, project management, and stakeholder engagement in the public or private sector
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to new systems, tools, and working environments
  • High-level proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to create professional documents, presentations, and data reports
  • Understanding of the APS Values, Employment Principles and Code of Conduct
  • Candidates must be an Australian Citizen
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and hold a Baseline Clearance
