APS6 Business Analyst Team Leader

• Lead and manage a team of technical analysts, setting clear expectations, managing performance, and developing technical capability
• Coordinate the design, build, and validation of forward-looking operational reporting and projection products
• Communicate complex analytical insights and risks to Senior Executives and the CEO to support informed decision-making
• Set standards for analytical rigour, data integrity, and governance while driving continuous improvement in reporting processes

• Demonstrated experience managing teams of technical specialists in high-pressure environments
• Proven capability in data validation, assurance, and interpretation
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in writing/troubleshooting SAS/SQL
• Ability to make sound decisions on analytical approaches, assumptions, and trade-offs in ambiguous contexts
• Demonstrated ability in design, build, validation and quality assurance of projection and scenario‑based reporting products
• Highly developed skills in translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Australian Citizenship required

• Ability to apply structured methodologies to ensure analytical projects are delivered on time and within scope
• Proficiency in developing complex predictive models and workload simulations to anticipate future demand
• Previous experience navigating the unique governance and operational frameworks of a public sector environment
• Proven success in managing and engaging remote or hybrid technical teams to maintain high performance across locations
