We are seeking senior and highly organised Executive Assistant (EA) and administration officer to join our Federal Government client in Disability Sector. You will be able to work very independently and have a proactive mind set. As an Executive Assistant, you will assist the Branch Manager in fulfilling their responsibilities. You will have an intimate knowledge of the work undertaken by the organisation or the ability to quickly gain this knowledge in order to provide high level administrative support and anticipate the needs of your Branch Manager and other key staff of the Leadership Team.
Job Responsibility
Manage diaries and emails, responding effectively to changing priorities
Coordinate official meetings, travel arrangements, and functions for the Branch Manager and other Agency staff
Prepare documentation for committees and projects, draft replies to correspondence, and handle confidential papers
Provide support on personnel and financial matters and complete operational tasks of moderate complexity
Undertake research and investigations as requested to support the Branch
Requirements
Strong verbal and written skills for professional interaction with executives and stakeholders
Competence in the Microsoft Office Suite and internal business systems
Ability to analyze situations, identify issues quickly, and develop effective solutions
Understanding of the administrative procedures, and confidentiality/privacy principles
Proven experience in an administrative or EA role, ideally within a government or large organizational setting
A relevant qualification in Business Administration or Office Management is desirable, though equivalent work experience is highly valued
