Job Description:

The Apps Support Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role that requires in-depth disciplinary knowledge and contributes to the development of new techniques and improvement of processes. The role focuses on providing technical and business support, ensuring application system stability and functionality, and managing issues that arise during daily operations. The individual works closely with multiple teams, assumes leadership roles, and influences business outcomes.

Job Responsibility:

provides technical and business support for users of Citi Applications
provides quick resolutions to app issues
drives stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements
manages, maintains and supports applications and their operating environments
starts day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover
performs same day risk reconciliations
develops and maintains technical support documentation
identifies ways to maximize the potential of the applications
assesses risk and impact of production issues
escalates issues to business and technology management
ensures storage and archiving procedures are functioning
formulates and defines scope and objectives for application enhancements and problem resolution
reviews and develops application contingency planning
partners with development and production support areas
participates in application releases
engages in post implementation analysis
identifies risks, vulnerabilities and security issues
provides evaluative judgment
acts as SME to senior stakeholders
appropriately assesses risk during business decisions
ensures compliance with applicable laws and policies

Requirements:

5-8 years experience in an Application Support role
experience in installing, configuring or supporting business applications
previous experience in investment banking industry is preferred
experience with some programming languages including Python and willingness/ability to learn
experience in supporting Enterprise Container Solutions (ECS) hosted applications ETLs like Abinitio/Talend
advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
demonstrated analytical skills
issue tracking and reporting skills using ServiceNow is required
knowledge/experience of problem Management Tools
effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
ability to plan and organize workload
consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders

Nice to have:

previous experience in investment banking industry
