The Apps Support Intmd Analyst role at Citi involves providing technical and business support for Citi Applications. This includes resolving issues, maintaining technical documentation, performing disaster recovery testing, and ensuring smooth application releases. The position requires experience in application support, Linux, SQL, and scheduling tools like Autosys or Control-M. Candidates should have strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Job Responsibility:
Provides technical and business support for users of Citi Applications
Fields issues and queries from stakeholders, providing short-term resolutions while collaborating with technology partners for long-term solutions
Develops an understanding of how app support integrates with business goals
Acts as a liaison between users, traders, internal technology groups, and vendors
Participates in disaster recovery testing
Participates in application releases, including development, testing, and deployment into production
Performs post-release checkouts after updates
Develops and maintains technical support documentation
Analyzes applications to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues
Prioritizes bug fixes and support tooling requirements in collaboration with development teams
Assesses risk and ensures compliance with internal policies and regulations
Exchanges complex and sensitive information with stakeholders
Owns and contributes to Support Project items covering stability, efficiency, and effectiveness initiatives
Operates with autonomy and uses independent judgment
Acts as an SME for senior stakeholders and team members
Requirements:
2-5 years experience
Basic knowledge or interest about apps support procedures, concepts and of other technical areas
Participation in some process improvements
Previous experience or interest in standardization of procedures and practices
Basic Business knowledge/ understanding of financial markets and products
Knowledge/ experience of problem Management Tools
Understands of how own sub-function integrates within the function and commercial awareness
Evaluates (sometimes complex) situations using multiple sources of information
Developed communication and diplomacy skills to persuade and influence
Good customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
Good knowledge of the business and its technology strategy
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of issue tracking and reporting using tools
Good all-round team member
Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
Ability to plan and organize workload
Ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholder
3-5 years of strong Application production support experience in the financial industry
Experience using call/ticketing software
2-3 years of Linux experience
Good SQL experience in any of the RDBMS
Knowledge of schedulers like Autosys/Control-M
Programming knowledge in UNIX shell scripting and Python/Perl will be an advantage
Strong knowledge of Microsoft-based operating systems
Experience troubleshooting Office products with emphasis on Word and Excel
Knowledge/working experience of ITRS Active Console/other monitoring tools
Nice to have:
Programming knowledge in UNIX shell scripting
Python/Perl experience
Knowledge of schedulers like Autosys/Control-M
