Join One of Ayrshire’s largest Engineering Employers. Prestwick Aerosystems is proud to continue Ayrshire’s long-standing aircraft manufacturing tradition. From our Prestwick site, we manufacture aircraft wing structures used on Airbus commercial aircraft worldwide. As part of the Airbus family, we play a key role in delivering safe, reliable and high-quality aerospace products. We are looking for Approved Operators (Skilled Fitters) to join our production teams and support the manufacture of aircraft wing structures through hands-on, practical work. You will work as part of an experienced production team manufacturing aircraft wing structures and components. Using approved instructions and engineering data, you will carry out a range of manufacturing, assembly, sealing and finishing activities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manufacture and assemble aircraft wing structure components to approved quality standards
  • Carry out sealing, coating and finishing in line with engineering specifications
  • Use hand tools, equipment and systems safely, including tooling checks and TPM activities
  • Maintain a safe, clean and compliant working environment

Requirements:

  • A completed apprenticeship in a relevant manual or technical trade (with papers)
  • SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification
  • Experience working from technical instructions, drawings, or manufacturing documentation
