From our Prestwick site, we manufacture aircraft wing structures used on Airbus commercial aircraft worldwide. As part of the Airbus family, we play a key role in delivering safe, reliable and high-quality aerospace products. The Opportunity: We are currently recruiting for Approved Operators to be based at our customer Airbus’s site at Broughton, Chester. These roles will be responsible for repair and rework of manufactured assemblies to engineering defined standards using both recognised manual and automated technologies. In addition, you will undertake Operations support roles as required and provide guidance and support to other areas of the business as and when necessary.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manufacture and assemble aircraft wing structure components to approved quality standards
  • Carry out sealing, coating and finishing in line with engineering specifications
  • Use hand tools, equipment and systems safely, including tooling checks and TPM activities
  • Maintain a safe, clean and compliant working environment
  • Repair and rework of manufactured assemblies to engineering defined standards
  • Undertake Operations support roles as required
  • Provide guidance and support to other areas of the business as and when necessary

Requirements:

  • Completed an accredited apprenticeship in an appropriate mechanical discipline
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Work on own initiative or as part of team as required
