Job Description:

Approved Electrician – Exeter Based. We’re urgently seeking an Approved Electrician to join us to support compliance works across various industrial and commercial sites including quarries, breweries and NHS properties. Based from Exeter, this role involves travelling to field locations across Devon and South West England, carrying out inspection, testing and remedial works to help us meet demand. Mainly site-based, Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend work during shutdown periods as overtime. Overtime highly likely as the client aims to maximise production.

Job Responsibility:

  • Electrical inspection and testing to BS7671 standards
  • Emergency lighting and equipment testing
  • Remedial works based on inspection findings
  • Working to client scopes and safety procedures
  • Daily van-based travel directly to client sites
  • Travel across South West England

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
  • 18th Edition (BS7671)
  • AM2 (or equivalent full apprenticeship route)
  • ECS Card
  • Strong experience with commercial/industrial environments
  • A positive attitude and ability to work independently
  • First Aid qualification
  • Asbestos Awareness certificate
  • A clear Basic DBS check within the last 3 Months

  • Overtime pay: 37 hours standard, then 1.5x overtime
  • Saturday 7.5 hours at 1.5x then 2x
