Job Description

Your apprenticeship at Vestas – a strong start to your career! Year 1: You will start in our training workshop in Husum – metalworking/ electrical engineering. Year 2 & 3: You will support our service teams throughout Germany at our wind turbines. Year 4: Back in Husum, you will prepare for the final examination at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).

Job Responsibility

  • Learn about the profession of service technician and the wide range of tasks involved
  • Installation, maintenance and repair of systems
  • Learn about large component replacement, rotor blade repairs and many other topics
  • Learn how components are manufactured and tested, and how different materials are processed
  • Assist with the commissioning of wind turbines
  • Software programming and installation

Requirements

  • Good school leaving certificate (intermediate school leaving certificate, advanced technical college entrance qualification or university entrance qualification)
  • Interest in mathematics and physics
  • True team player
  • Skill in craftsmanship
  • Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
