We have an exciting opportunity to become part of our apprenticeship and Higher Technical Education (HTE) compliance team as an Apprenticeship Compliance Officer. This role sits within the Apprenticeship Operations Team supporting the portfolio of apprenticeship programmes ensuring that the quality and compliance of our provision is monitored and maintained. The team works with a wide range of external organisations from public to private, levy and non-levy employers and across all faculties and directorates within the University. You must have significant knowledge of the Department for Education apprenticeship funding rules, and any other relevant regulatory body, which impacts on apprenticeship delivery and compliance.
Job Responsibility:
The oversight and day to day monitoring of apprenticeship compliance for all the administrative and reporting systems, processes and procedures that maintain compliance with the Department for Education (DfE), Ofsted and any other apprenticeship related regulatory or external body
Working under the leadership of the Apprenticeship Compliance Manager, you will embed systems and processes to ensure the University’s compliance
Working closely with faculty colleagues delivering our apprenticeship provision to ensure compliance with the DfE funding rules including Off the Job (OTJ), Breaks in Learning, Gateway and End Point Assessment
Provision of specialist advice, guidance and support in line with Apprenticeship funding rules
Evaluation and analysis of complex evidence and data from a range of sources to identify potential areas of risk
Sample audits of apprenticeship evidence packs and the evaluation of the outcomes of these audits, including risk and issues identification and the design of appropriate mitigation strategies
Requirements:
A‑levels or equivalent and educated to degree level or equivalent relevant work experience
Experience of working in a Higher Education apprenticeship role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to stay organised under pressure
Experience using SITS, e:Vision, or similar student systems
Extensive knowledge of apprenticeship funding rules and apprenticeship compliance
A proactive, supportive, and collaborative approach to problem-solving
