Job Description

Hayley Dexis is looking for an Apprentice – Tenders + Business Support to join our team within Strategic Contracts based at our offices in Oldbury. Hayley Dexis is the largest independent distributor of engineering products and consumables (hydraulics, bearings, fasteners, fluid power, PPE, tools, lubricants etc) in the UK. Job Responsibility

  • Learning how to prepare bids and tenders to win work for Hayley Dexis
  • Learning how to use different bid management software tools
  • Applying knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications like Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Building relationships internal across UK branch network to gather information for bids and tenders
  • Gathering testimonials, facts and figures, examples, product information, pricing information or business information details.

Requirements

  • A keen interest in business / administrative duties
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English L4 or above
  • Able to travel to work and based locally
  • No prior experience required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
  • A confident communicator and able adapt to new challenges
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Logical thinking skills and keen attention to detail
  • Well-presented and enthusiastic about building a career.
