Job Description:

With continued growth in the industry, Scotlynn is hiring Apprentice Technicians at our shop in Norfolk County. This role is for organized, mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work and are eager to learn the Truck and Coach Technician trade.

Job Responsibility:

  • Inspecting vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment
  • Performing repairs
  • Assisting with inventory tracking
  • Review maintenance schedule and work orders
  • Diagnostic, service and preventative maintenance of storage and equipment/machinery
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to performance specifications
  • Provide clear communication and excellent customer service skills to drivers and customers in a team environment
  • Apply for in-class training to progress through apprenticeship levels

Requirements:

  • Own tools required
  • Service compliance with MTO regulations
  • Integrity, communication, and passion
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous experience working with vehicles, engines, or in an oil change, or tire change environment (considered a strong asset)
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn are essential
