Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Technician to join our skilled team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in the automotive industry. You will work alongside experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience and learning the skills necessary to become a fully qualified automotive technician.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist senior technicians with vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Learn to carry out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, and tyre fitting
  • Develop skills in vehicle fault diagnosis using industry-standard equipment and software
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
  • Attend training sessions and complete all required qualifications as part of the apprenticeship programme
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers, providing excellent service and support
  • Support the team with general workshop duties as required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including Maths, English, and Science (or equivalent qualifications)
  • A keen interest in automotive technology and a desire to build a career in the industry
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and take direction from experienced colleagues
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Willingness to learn and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
