Job Description

This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in education and special educational needs (SEND). You will gain hands-on classroom experience while completing a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship, with full training and support provided throughout. No previous experience is required—just a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in supporting young people to achieve their potential.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting students in lessons under the direction of the class teacher
  • Working with individuals and small groups, particularly students with additional needs (SEND)
  • Helping students understand tasks, stay engaged, and access learning materials
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in learning
  • Supporting students with emotional regulation and social development where needed
  • Helping to create a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Observing and feeding back to staff on student progress and engagement
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources
