Requirements

Working towards or having achieved CCC in A-levels or equivalent, ideally one in STEM background
A passion for technology that features in your personal projects
Familiarity with a programming language or framework, such as Java, C#/.NET, or JavaScript
Basic understanding of relational and/or non-relational databases (MS Access, MS SQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
Awareness of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Job Responsibility

Working with a team of experienced software developers and consultants to understand client requirements and develop custom software solutions
Learning and implementing new technologies and software development best practices
Participating in code reviews and ensuring high levels of code quality
Participating in meetings with clients to understand their requirements and provide solutions
Writing documentation and conduct training sessions to clients
Continuously improving your skills and knowledge in software development

No 4-year Computer Science degree
Coding skills acquired through online courses, community college classes, or a coding bootcamp
At least two years of work experience
Less than one year of professional software engineering experience
Ability to convert a problem to code, implement basic functions (if statements, for/while loops) and control flow in a programming language used in our codebase (React, Rails, Express)
Eligibility: Bootcampers, self-taught coders, and associate degree holders

Be 18 years or over before the start date (September 2026)
Have the right to live and work in Wales (if you are on a visa, this needs to enable you to legally work and reside in Wales for the entire duration of the program)
Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years
Be a resident of Wales for the entire duration of the program
Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2026 or later
Successfully complete any additional assessments required by our training provider as part of the recruitment process
Have at least 5 GCSEs C grade (grade 4) or above including Maths and English
Have 3 A levels or equivalent qualifications at grade C or above, including one in a STEM subject
