Job Description:

This is a full-time permanent Assessor (Apprentice Skills Coach) role in Engineering at Tameside College. The college aims to give all students an exceptional experience in a supportive and friendly environment and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver training, assessing and quality assuring work-based learning programmes, in line with the college’s Apprenticeship Strategy
  • Work towards the growth of high quality, employer focused provision that maximises the opportunities for learners to achieve and progress into sustained employment
  • Support with the training needs of learners through a range of methodologies

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
  • Mechanical engineering background
  • Hands on experience and/or working knowledge of both traditional and CNC machining
  • Sound understanding of Inspection and quality control and office-based engineering roles
  • Relevant occupational experience
  • Enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated individual
  • Literacy / Numeracy to at least Level 2

Nice to have:

Experience in a technical support role utilising various IT systems
