Job Responsibility

Coach apprentices on a one-to-one basis and support the development of the skills, knowledge and behaviours as defined within the relevant apprenticeship
Monitor and assess the progress of Apprentices
Ensure compliance with the end-to-end Apprenticeship journey and the requirements of the appropriate standard/framework, funding body, awarding organisations and the college
Design, develop and deliver workshop training sessions in the workplace and/or on a college campus as part of off-the-job training for Apprentices
Support the Apprenticeship Operations Manager in implementing quality assurance and quality improvement processes

Take the lead on complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics across our PSV fleet
Diagnose and repair issues across engines, gearboxes, axles, body systems and high-voltage equipment
Work with advanced systems including CAN Line, After-Treatment Exhaust Systems, Multiplex networks, Euro5/Euro6 engines and hybrid technologies
Be the technical authority for fault investigations, root cause analysis and system performance
Act as custodian of all technical campaigns and fleet checks, ensuring our buses meet the highest safety and compliance standards
Provide expert advice to the Engineering Manager and liaise with OEM suppliers, chassis manufacturers and technical support teams
Support engineers across the depot and mentor apprentices where required
