Job Description:

Elementa is a schools support and services company providing training services, staffing & recruitment support, education consultants, behaviour support and other education-setting structure and governance services. In addition to this we have a rapidly expanding network of alternative education provisions through Elmtree Learning Partnership offering interim support to Primary & Secondary school-aged learners who need support to achieve success in education. Our latest venture is an Independent Special School, Elmtree Grove School which is the first of the specialist schools we plan to open. We are seeking an individual to appoint and develop in the role via an apprenticeship pathway. Whilst no previous experience is necessary the kind of things we'll be looking for someone to have aspects of & develop include, an eye for detail and a good understanding of background compliance & vetting checks and processes as well as the ability to resource skilled personnel for both internal & external employment opportunities. Working in any education setting with children requires extensive necessary background checks. Equally, swiftly sourcing the right people with the appropriate approach, personality & skills is just as important. This is as much a people-orientated role as it is an admin role. As a person you’ll need to demonstrate a positive attitude/outlook and a tenacious approach with excellent customer service skills! If you have good skills: on the phone, time management, general office admin, IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), strong work ethic, commitment and above all passion for what you do, then we want to hear from you. Previous experience or good understanding of compliance & vetting, Safer Recruitment and safeguarding are highly desirable and may be an advantage in being considered for the role. Elementa is an independent company providing a range of direct & partner services to schools, we strongly believe and work with the ethos & outlook of ensuring everything we do benefits the young people that we are providing support for either directly or through their education setting. You’ll be working with industry professionals that, as a team, have 45 years of education specific experience. We expect the best from each other and we all work to high standards. Equally, colleagues at Elementa are very realistic and approachable. We share ideas, have a positive outlook and above all, work to our values of being a solutions-orientated business. We work on reputation and most of the clients and candidates we work with, as well as parents in need, come to us on recommendation. If you understand the importance of doing the right thing all the time and going the extra mile, you’ll have the right people skills and fit in with the person specification. On offer is a great working environment, friendly colleagues, future progression opportunities, a modern office, free parking, work events, competitive salary and Vitality Healthcare (available after completing probation.) You will also be able to enhance your earnings through additional incentive schemes. We operate hybrid working options balancing work and life needs (in line with our business needs and after completing probation) whilst ensuring the needs of our clients are our paramount concern and focus. The successful applicant will commence the role on a trial basis and subject to satisfactory assessment, will progress onto permanent contract after a trial period. If you feel you fulfill all the key job requirements and could consistently work to the expected standards, please do apply straight away with your full, up to date CV. For this role, remote working may be available/offered after completing the trial period and in line with the needs of the business. The selection process is expected to be: Application, Pre-screen (by phone), Shortlisting, Meeting in person (interview), Appointment of successful candidate, Compliance & Vetting checks (clearance). This role is not suitable for applicants: not currently based within the UK; requiring employer sponsorship for UK right to work; without UK schools experience. Elementa will be the employer and will process all necessary compliance & vetting in order to be able to work in a child-orientated environment in line with safer recruitment guidelines. Appointment for the role will also depend on satisfactory references and DBS Enhanced Disclosure application; or we can accept a DBS Enhanced Disclosure on ongoing subscription to the Update Service. A clear DBS is highly desirable but not specifically a barrier to being considered for this role.
