On behalf of a client, we are seeking an Apprentice Quality Assurance (QA) Technical Product Specialist for a direct hire position

Job Responsibility:

  • Embedding and embracing LKQ Europe’s cultures and values as we move towards one company with shared visions and goals
  • Executing the role of QAP in accordance with the definitions inside the PIP
  • Supporting the Product Development team with the definition of required technical specifications
  • Defining quality requirements and ensuring that supplier quality documentation meets these requirements
  • Update the Safe Launch Plan with the required information
  • Discuss and agree Safe Launch Plan with suppliers and receiving warehouses
  • Execute the Safe Launch Plan once product arrives in warehouse
  • Verifying quality drawings and technical specifications, ensuring that data has been uploaded to the technical system
  • Participate in meetings with stakeholders
  • Inspecting supplier samples to ensure compliance with agreed specification, communicating this to relevant departments
  • Managing complaints against suppliers, ensuring analysis and correction following an adapted eight disciplines (8D) approach
  • Working with the QAP Technical Data Support Representative to ensure 8D are actioned and closed
  • Monitoring product quality performance based on incoming and outgoing inspection data
  • Conduct Inbound inspections of incoming products to verify compliance to LKQ requirements
  • Perform product comparisons by evaluating new supplier samples against existing products or competitor offerings to assess quality, performance, and compliance with standards
  • Visit LKQ receiving warehouse location as and when required

Requirements:

  • Technical Education in a relevant subject
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in the automotive supplier industry or independent aftermarket
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive and willing to take responsibility

  • Act as a technical lead for the Risk team ensuring the implementation of Risk specific processes and framework
