We are currently looking for a Painting and Decorating Apprentice to join our award-winning apprenticeship scheme that could help you achieve your goals whilst also making a positive impact on other people's lives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Working on projects such as social housing, lighthouses, student accommodation and hotels
  • Preparing surfaces (filling, sanding, caulking)
  • Mastering the art of paint application (rolling, cutting in, brush skills)
  • Sprucing up gloss work (doors and window frames, skirtings)
  • Getting outdoors with external works (railings, sheds, fences and walls)
  • Exploring different sites, working both inside and outside in all weather
  • Attending college to understand the how and why of your trade (usually 1 day a week)
  • Building an awesome portfolio of evidence for your End Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Being a valued team member and contribute to our overall success

Requirements:

  • No prior experience needed
  • A genuine passion for painting and decorating and practical hands-on work
  • A positive attitude and problem-solving mindset
  • Commitment to building your career at Ian Williams
  • Strong organisational skills (to juggle college and work)
  • GCSE (or equivalent) grade 1(G) or above in Maths and English
  • Eligibility to work in the UK on a permanent basis
