Job Description:

Provide unsurpassed patient experiences through selection of eyewear, accurate measurements, ordering, and fitting the patient to fulfill all of their eyewear needs. Support establishing the practice as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assists the patient in selecting frames and lenses
  • Anticipates problems before they occur
  • Shows patience and courtesy
  • Handles tasks, such as taking and recording measurements, adjusting or fitting eyewear
  • Ensures finished eyewear meets Company optical standards and patient requirements
  • Takes ownership to achieve exceptional results on individual and team goals
  • Operates the point-of-sale system
  • Commits to delivery date and time, seeks feedback and ask for referrals
  • Presents, celebrates and educates at time of dispense
  • Takes pride in dispensary appearance
  • Effectively collaborate with all doctors and practice staff
  • Informs management of safety opportunities
  • Possesses a “can do” spirit and strong drive for results
  • Adheres to company policies and procedure
  • Works weekends and evenings in support of the business needs
  • Adheres to attendance and daily time keeping requirements
  • Foster positive working relationships with the practice
  • Consistently maintains proper dress code
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager or as business needs

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Must be registered as an apprentice in the appropriate state and maintain all state requirements in pursuit of optical licensing
  • Strong customer service skills to include communication (listening, verbal, written) and team building
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Sales and service skills
  • Familiarity with technology, such as point-of-sale, patient record systems, or other software applications
  • Embraces new technology and change

Nice to have:

  • Optical dispensing experience
  • Previous eyecare and/or customer service experience
