Job Description:

We're looking for an Apprentice Merchandising Assistants to join the Poundland team, based at our Walsall office, you'll enrol onto a Level 4 Buying & Merchandising Apprenticeship (external provider), mentored by our talented experienced leaders who want to see you succeed. Assisting the General Merchandising team, you'll support the management of the product range and ensure stock availability at all times through analysing management information and forecasting sales against KPI’s. We uphold three core behaviours: Love Our Customers, Care for Our Colleagues, Protect Our Pounds/Euros.

Job Responsibility:

  • Management of the product range and ensure stock availability at all times
  • Forecast daily sales against KPIs
  • Analyse historical and current sales information, recommending actions
  • Maintain appropriate continuity sales through line flows
  • Complete the merchandise administration for the appropriate departments
  • Review Weekly stock sales and intake (WSSI) for own categories
  • Work with QA/Shipping to ensure stock availability
  • Liaise with Suppliers
  • Work with stock allocation team to manage and maintain store availability
