Apprentice Mechanic

Perform basic mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance to municipal and fire department equipment and vehicles in accordance with the Apprenticeship Training Standards developed by Skilled Trades Ontario

• Grade 12 Education or successfully completed an academic standard prescribed for the regulations by the trade
• Must work towards obtaining a valid Ontario Class “T” Mechanic’s License within specified guidelines
• Must possess mechanical aptitude
• Must work towards obtaining a valid Ontario Class “D” Driver’s License with a “Z” endorsement
• Must be eligible to participate in the Ontario Apprenticeship Program registered with Skilled Trades Ontario

Valid 310S Automotive Service Technician License an asset
