250 CAO points
OR Successful Level 6 Laboratory Technician Apprentices
Candidates with a Level 6 in a related discipline
Current employee with relevant experience and qualifications
Mature student
Before enrolment on the apprenticeship program the apprentice will attend an industry interview and will be approved and registered by SOLAS

Job Responsibility

Equipment calibration and maintenance
Preparing media and buffers for lab projects
Managing lab logbooks through their lifecycle
Conducting freezer defrosts
Tracking and ordering lab consumables
Drafting Best Practice Documents and risk assessments
Handing GMM waste management
Participating in all training and completion of training records required by the supervisor/management
Identifying any opportunities for improvement within the BCoE laboratory and associated environments
Other duties as assigned
