Job Description:

Apprentice Engineer role in the Structures division, working in a supported learning environment to develop skills and knowledge required to complete Level 4 or Level 6 qualification in Civil Engineering. Work on various construction projects gaining knowledge and experience in a variety of areas of the industry. Role supports with practical experience, educational learning and support attaining further professional certificates or memberships.

Job Responsibility:

  • Pursue studies to gain knowledge, skills, and behaviours of a Structural Engineer
  • Attend internal training diligently
  • Play a lead role in upskilling and development
  • Work as part of the engineering team taking instructions from senior engineers
  • Work with the engineering team to deliver works efficiently and to a safe standard
  • Develop skills on engineering software to a proficient standard (e.g. BridgeStation)
  • Understand and complete regular activities such as contract reporting, inspections, and administration

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 48 UCAS points for Level 4 entry or 96 UCAS points for Level 6 entry
  • A-Levels must include maths
  • Preferably a science (chemistry or physics)
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
