We are currently looking for an Apprentice Electrician to join our award-winning apprenticeship scheme that could help you achieve your goals whilst also making a positive impact on other people's lives. Starting rate: £8 per hour (£16,224 per annum). Qualified rate: £16.59 per hour (£33,644.52 per annum).
Job Responsibility:
Working on projects predominantly in social housing
Covering areas including (but not limited to): Newton Abbott
System installation
Planning, safe isolation and risk assessment
Maintenance and repair of electrical systems
Testing and regulation
Fault finding and reporting on electrical circuits
Working on both commercial sites and domestic dwellings
Attend college to understand the how and why of your trade (usually 1 day a week)
Build an awesome portfolio of evidence for your End Point Assessment (EPA)
Be a valued team member and contribute to our overall success
Requirements:
No prior experience needed
A genuine passion for electricals and practical, hands-on work
A positive attitude and problem-solving mindset
Commitment to building your career at Ian Williams
Strong organisational skills (to juggle college and work)
GCSE (or equivalent) grade 4(C) or above in Maths and English
Eligibility to work in the UK on a permanent basis
A driving licence isn't needed straight away, but you'll be expected to work towards obtaining one
