Job Responsibility:
Maintain the existing fleet of mobile/transportable steam and hot water boiler systems and associated equipment
Focus on inspection and testing in accordance with BS7671
Develop knowledge of control wiring to build a solid foundation of fault-finding ability
Working on industrial steam/hot water boiler systems
Wiring and testing various types of motors/pumps
Attend and participating in customer site visits, shadowing one of our qualified Technicians
Learning about various types of electrical installations, including mobile/transportable and fixed wiring within industrial installations
Taking part in refurbishment projects on steam boilers
Helping to troubleshoot and support technically challenging breakdowns, both in person and remote
Working on electrical power supplies and control panels
Working with a multitude of wiring types and containment systems
Learning about digital control systems and basic BMS (Building Management Systems)
Requirements:
Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English, Science and Maths
A driving licence is desirable, with the expectation that one will be obtained by the second year of the apprenticeship
Someone who is keen to learn, ask questions, and get involved and eager to develop
Good written English
An interest in electrical engineering, heating systems, steam boiler systems and control panels
Good problem-solving skills, confidence, and strong communication skills
Computer literate and know the basics on Microsoft Office
