Job Description

Earn as you learn, combining college study for a Level 3 Apprenticeship in England with industry experience at the largest independent construction materials group in the UK. Our apprentices spend time learning about maintaining and repairing equipment on the electrical network, as well as working on heavy plant including fixed and rotating equipment in our quarries and cement plant over a four-year period. On completion you will qualify as an Electrical Maintenance Technician.

Job Responsibility

  • Improving the workplace with respect to health, safety and environment
  • Assist in maintaining electrical equipment such as motors, cables, and switchgear
  • Carry out planned routine and emergency maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
  • Find and fix electrical faults using problem solving skills and techniques
  • Gain experience and confidence in transferable soft skills so you feel comfortable working with your own initiative or part of a team

Requirements

  • At least five GCSEs, grades 5-9/A-C, with a 6/B in Maths
  • Have a curious mind and have real interest in engineering
