Sturminster Dental Care is expanding and we're looking for an Apprentice or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. Whether you're about to begin your training or are already enrolled on a recognised dental nursing course, you'll receive hands-on experience, guidance and support from an experienced team committed to helping you succeed. As part of our practice, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of treatments and procedures, building valuable clinical knowledge and confidence in a real practice environment while working towards a rewarding long-term career in dentistry. We have built a reputation for exceptional patient care, clinical excellence, and creating a welcoming environment for both patients and team members. Working alongside experienced clinicians and nurses, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills across a range of private treatments including Orthodontics, Endodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry, providing an excellent foundation for your future career. Working Hours: 38 hours per week, 08:30 – 17:30pm. Tempdent Training provider. One day off the job with hours to be completed on the practice premises.
Job Responsibility
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of treatments
Learn and follow cross-infection control and decontamination procedures
Prepare and maintain clinical areas and equipment
Support patient care and communication to ensure a positive experience
Develop essential clinical and organisational skills
Complete coursework and practical assessments as part of your apprenticeship
Requirements
GCSE Grade 4 or above in both Maths and English, or Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent)
A genuine interest in starting a career in dental nursing
Friendly, reliable and eager to learn
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused approach
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
Commitment to completing the apprenticeship programme
