Job Description

This is your chance to gain hands-on experience and study alongside other Marriott apprentices as part of a world-class program. As an Apprentice Chef you will play a vital role in supporting the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences across our outlets while learning culinary skills from high level professional chefs. This entry-level position is designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment, allowing you to develop your skills and build a strong foundation in culinary operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and ambitious new chef to grow within a renowned hospitality brand.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist in preparing ingredients such as chopping, portioning, and storing food
  • Learn to prepare and cook dishes following recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
  • Support senior chefs by ensuring all ingredients are ready and available
  • Maintain an organized workstation, restock supplies, and adhere to hygiene and safety standards
  • Participate in internationally recognized training programs by Marriott International
  • Supporting activities within your section during busy period and supports team efforts ensuring smooth operations
  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes within your designated section
  • Ensure all food preparation and storage meets health, safety and hygiene standards
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef / Sous Chef, and other team members to ensure kitchen efficiency
  • Collaborate with front of house F&B outlets to ensure efficiency
  • Anticipate and address guest needs and maintain a focus on guests satisfaction
  • Uphold brand values and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service
  • Follow a food preparation checklist and establish priority items
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives and equipment
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a way that aims to exceed guest expectations
