As part of the Marriott Culinary Academy, you will complete your Certificate III in Commercial Cookery while gaining hands-on experience in our kitchens. This unique program combines accredited training with real-world exposure, professional mentorship, and career pathways within Marriott International.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with the preparation and cooking of food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, focusing on attention to detail
  • Follow a food preparation checklist and establish priority items
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use
  • Develop strong food safety and cleaning skills to ensure assigned kitchen section is properly maintained
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
  • Support the kitchen team in operational tasks and duties, ensuring all food is prepared and presented to exceed guest expectations

Requirements:

  • Passion for the culinary industry and enthusiasm to grow your career
  • Trade Industry Qualification or working towards completion of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (provided through the program)
  • Working rights in Australia (open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens, and Australian permanent residents)
