Job Responsibility:
Assist with the preparation and cooking of food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, focusing on attention to detail
Follow a food preparation checklist and establish priority items
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use
Develop strong food safety and cleaning skills to ensure assigned kitchen section is properly maintained
Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
Support the kitchen team in operational tasks and duties, ensuring all food is prepared and presented to exceed guest expectations
Requirements:
Passion for the culinary industry and enthusiasm to grow your career
Trade Industry Qualification or working towards completion of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (provided through the program)
Working rights in Australia (open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens, and Australian permanent residents)
Self-motivated, driven, and energized in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and willingness to learn from senior chefs
