Job Responsibility:
Contribute to building and improving AI-powered features in Microsoft Word Copilot
Develop and apply Generative AI and deep learnings solutions in real-world product scenarios
Support experimentation and evaluation of AI features, to improve user experience
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and scientists across Microsoft
Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
Learn and apply modern AI and software engineering best practices
Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team environment
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent industry experience
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Experience with one or more other programming languages including, but not limited to Python, Type Script, JavaScript, C/C++
Understanding key machine learning or data analysis concepts
Solid software engineering fundamentals, including coding and software design
Interest in AI and modern software development
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Nice to have:
Past internship, academic, or project experience in AI, machine learning, data science or software engineering
Experience in applied machine learning (e.g., NLP/LLMs, deep learning, predictive analytics, computer vision, statistics)
Master's Degree or Doctorate in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Statistics or related field
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
