The AI Operations & Enablement team serves as the engine for Bentley Systems' internal AI transformation. Our mission is to accelerate the adoption and impact of artificial intelligence across every part of the organization. We partner with our global business units - from product and engineering to marketing and finance to identify high-value opportunities and deliver practical, scalable AI solutions. By developing core processes, providing tools & training and sharing expertise, we empower our global teams across the company to innovate responsibly and effectively. The AI Business Solutions team is responsible for driving the adoption of Artificial Intelligence to solve high impact business problems across Bentley. We are seeking a pragmatic and versatile Applied AI Solution Engineer to bring these solutions to life. As a builder on our team, your mission is to turn business concepts into measurable results. You will select the best technical path for each project, from configuring enterprise platforms to writing custom code. You’ll deliver powerful systems that solve highly visible business challenges.

Job Responsibility

  • Select the best-fit technologies, from custom code to enterprise platforms to quantify business impact and directly shape our technology roadmaps
  • Build everything from autonomous AI agents to the intuitive UIs that drive their adoption, shipping and iterating on new solutions to solve real business problems

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a hands-on, technical role such as Software Engineer, Application Developer, or a similar position, with a portfolio of projects you have successfully delivered
  • Passionate about using technology to solve business problems
  • Comfortable recommending the right tool for the job, whether it's configuration, integration, or custom code
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices
  • Ready to embrace new development practices using AI copilots and digital teammates
  • Cloud Proficiency developing and deploying applications on major platforms (Azure or GCP), with experience in containerization and serverless computing

Nice to have

  • Vertex AI and/or Databricks experience preferred
  • Hands on experience with enterprise SaaS platforms (like Salesforce, ServiceNow and Workday) and their configuration or customization capabilities
  • Familiarity with building simple UIs using a web framework (e.g., Streamlit, Flask, React) or low code tools
