The Application Support Senior Analyst provides technical and business support for users of Citi Applications. This includes providing quick resolutions to app issues, driving stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements to help us and the business succeed.
Job Responsibility:
Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications
Provide quick resolutions to app issues
Drive stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements
Provide advanced technical support for escalated issues
Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems related to applications and databases
Collaborate with development teams to identify and fix production issues
Analyze applications to identify risks, vulnerabilities, security issues
Improve system performance
Act decisively to identify root cause and deliver effective solution during production issues
Maintain application systems running in daily operations
Perform start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover
Develop and maintain technical support documentation
Identify ways to maximize the potential of applications used
Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate appropriately
Ensure storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning correctly
Partner with development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes
Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards
Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information
Active involvement in and ownership of Support Project items
Act as SME to senior stakeholders and other team members
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in technical support or similar role with Java background
Strong knowledge of SQL, Java, and other relevant programming languages
Experience with database management systems (e.g., Sybase ASE, Oracle)
Experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications
Experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn
Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
Effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms
Demonstrated analytical skills
Issue tracking and reporting using tools
Knowledge/experience of problem Management Tools
Good all-round technical skills
Ability to plan and organize workload
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholder
Knowledge of tools like Jira, splunk, Git/Bitbucket, IDE
