This role will provide application and technical support to our back-office systems. The systems supported are key systems within Citi. We are interested in hearing from people with technical support experience from a variety of backgrounds, or with a strong interest in moving into a technical support function. This is a fast paced environment where you need to respond quickly but calmly to issues as they arise. The ideal candidate should be technically astute, well organized, pro-active and be comfortable discussing issues with business and technical users at all levels. They also need to possess good multi-tasking skills. We operate a broad range of work patterns, some of which may require on-call or weekend support to manage outages, Change related activities, and any Client onboarding support activities.
Job Responsibility:
Investigation of incidents reported across various distributed applications within the Custody business
Engagement with ITIL processes including Major Incident management, problem management, change management etc.
Operate independently to identify process bottlenecks and proactively drive improvements by engaging the appropriate teams
Confidently handle communication with various stakeholders in Business, Operations, Infrastructure, and application partner systems
Operate with minimal to no supervision in resolving incidents and drive issues with a sense of urgency to resolve and restore services to prevent Client impact
Experience in performing resiliency activities such as disaster recovery coordination from Production to Contingency site from an Application Support perspective, and Application component level resiliency tests
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in resolving Production outages at different levels of complexity across .Net/Java, SQL, Linux, etc.
Work closely with Development and Infrastructure partners to detect potential issues and address them before they manifest in Production
Requirements:
5-8 years’ experience in Production Support
some prior development experience
practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills
demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills and relationship building skills
proficient using basic technical tools and systems
good interpersonal and communication skills
SQL Server – SQL, Stored Procedures
Redis or Oracle or other RDBMS
Unix/AIX/Windows
Knowledge of MQ Series, NDM / IBM Connect::Direct / Kafka / RabbitMQ
Scheduling Tools (Autosys/Control M)
ITRS Geneos Monitoring tool knowledge (preferred)
Knowledge of Cloud technologies (preferred)
Nice to have:
Prior working experience in Securities Services business such as in banks
applied knowledge of Performance/Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Elastic Search, and ITRS/Geneos Monitoring
