Job Description:

The Apps Support Sr Analyst role at Citi involves running and maintaining the production environment for Credit Risk Applications and providing technical and business support to users. The position focuses on creating a robust Production Support platform while collaborating with teams globally to deliver world-class client service. Responsibilities include maintaining system stability, resolving incidents, designing contingency plans, and driving automation initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

  • provides technical and business support for users of Citi Applications, including quick resolution of app issues
  • maintains production environments with observability, resiliency, and recoverability
  • manages, maintains, and supports applications and their operating environments
  • performs controlled resolution of incidents and problems, including prioritization and escalation
  • champions stability initiatives to enable high availability for Business-As-Usual
  • ensures incident and problem management procedures are diligently followed
  • implements and drives automations focused on productivity improvements
  • communicates complex information confidently with operations and technology partners
  • assesses risk and impact of production issues, escalating appropriately

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years experience in an Application Support role
  • experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications
  • experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn
  • advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
  • effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
  • demonstrated analytical skills
  • issue tracking and reporting using tools
  • knowledge/experience of problem Management Tools
  • good all-round technical skills
  • effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
  • ability to plan and organize workload
  • consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • support experience in the financial industry
  • UNIX shell scripting
  • Python/PERL skills
  • knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems
  • experience with Autosys/CONTROL-M or other schedulers
