The role of Applications Support Senior Analyst involves providing technical and business support for Citi Applications, ensuring stability, functionality, and efficiency of application systems in daily operations. The position requires managing application environments, performing risk assessments, identifying technical issues, and providing coaching and collaborative input within a technology group. Working directly with stakeholders, the Analyst will address risks, escalate issues, and implement enhancements while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and standards.
Job Responsibility:
Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications
Maintain application systems that are in daily operations
Manage, maintain and support applications and their operating environments
Perform start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handovers
Perform same day risk reconciliations
Develop and maintain technical support documentation
Identify and maximize potential of applications used
Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate to management
Ensure storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
Formulate and define scope and objectives for application enhancements
Review and develop application contingency planning
Partner with development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and tooling requirements
Participate in application releases, from development to deployment in production
Engage in post implementation analysis to ensure system functionality
Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues
Act as a liaison between users and internal technology groups
Provide guidance and training to team members
Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements
Own support project items for Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives
Requirements:
5-8 years experience in an Application Support role
Experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications
Experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn
Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
Effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
Demonstrated analytical skills
Issue tracking and reporting using tools
Knowledge/experience of problem Management Tools
Good all-round technical skills
Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
Ability to plan and organize workload
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholder
Nice to have:
Knowledge / working experience of ITRS Active Console/other monitoring tools
Knowledge / working experience of Autosys/scheduler
Experience using call/ticketing software
Good SQL experience in any of the RDBMS
UNIX shell scripting, Python / PERL will be of added advantage
Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems
Experience using/troubleshooting Office with emphasis on Word, Excel
2 - 3 years of Linux experience
Autosys / CONTROL-M or other schedulers will be of added advantage
