Job Description:

The Apps Support Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role requiring in-depth disciplinary knowledge to support Citi applications, ensure system stability, and drive efficiency. This role involves technical and business support, application maintenance, risk assessments, issue escalation, and active participation in application releases and post-implementation analysis.

Job Responsibility:

provides technical and business support for users of Citi applications
maintains application systems that have completed the development stage
manages, maintains, and supports applications and their operating environments
start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover
performs same day risk reconciliations
develops and maintains technical support documentation
identifies ways to maximize the potential of the applications used
assesses risk and impact of production issues
ensures that storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning correctly
formulates and defines scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and problem resolution
reviews and develops application contingency planning
partners with development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and tooling requirements
participates in application releases
engages in post-implementation analysis
identifies risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues
acts as a liaison between users/traders, internal technology groups, and vendors
raises problems to appropriate technology and business teams
coaches and trains new recruits
actively involves in Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives.

Requirements:

5-8 years experience in an Application Support role
experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications
experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn
advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
demonstrated analytical skills
issue tracking and reporting using tools
knowledge/experience of problem Management Tools
good all-round technical skills
effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
ability to plan and organize workload
consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholder
working experience with Linux infrastructure
experience writing Linux Shell scripts
good technical knowledge of Oracle SQL or MS SQL Server
good technical skills in Java, API, JSON, XML, Python
knowledge of Business Objects
experience on Cloud computing and migrating applications to ECS containers (Amazon Web Services or Open Shift or equivalent)
exposure to GitHub, TeamCity, Maven, Ansible, Jenkins
knowledge of Autosys or relevant scheduling tools
knowledge of AppDynamics or relevant scheduling tools
knowledge of Splunk/ELK or relevant scheduling tools.

Nice to have:

experience on Cloud computing and migrating applications to ECS containers
exposure to GitHub, TeamCity, Maven, Ansible, Jenkins
knowledge of Autosys or relevant scheduling tools
knowledge of AppDynamics or relevant scheduling tools
knowledge of Splunk/ELK or relevant scheduling tools.
