Job Description

SRG are currently recruiting for an Electrical/ Applications Engineer who combines strong technical fundamentals with the confidence to work directly with customers. This role blends high-voltage electrical engineering, testing programme design, data analysis and client-facing commercial interaction.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and develop electrical test programmes for high-voltage and high-energy systems
  • Support and oversee testing activities within a high-voltage / high-energy test environment
  • Apply strong mathematical and analytical skills to interpret results and validate electrical performance
  • Use spreadsheets extensively for calculations, modelling, analysis and reporting
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers, discussing requirements, applications and testing outcomes
  • Provide electrical technical support to clients, helping diagnose issues and recommend suitable solutions
  • Work closely with internal commercial and engineering teams, providing technical input and design sign-off
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of electrical designs and testing methodologies.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of high-voltage electrical systems and power engineering principles
  • Comfortable with maths-heavy work and data-driven problem solving
  • Confident user of spreadsheets for engineering analysis
  • Personable and professional, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to clients
  • Commercially aware and comfortable balancing customer needs with sound engineering judgement
  • Organised, detail-focused and capable of taking ownership of technical work.
