Job Description:

Senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Part of the Financial Risk Technology Team in Citi's Institutional Clients Group (ICG), delivering market and credit risk technology and software solutions for Citi's Front Office and Back Office Risk Management.

Job Responsibility:

Provide strong hands-on engineering leadership driving key architectural decisions and implementing frameworks in the big data space
Lead a large global project team of software engineers delivering engineering solutions solving complex business problems for Citi's Market Risk user community
Ensure solutions implemented by the team adhere to the appropriate architectural and data models in the systems
Enforce SDLC best practices for effectively managing the codebase
Influence and negotiate with senior technical leaders from partner teams of software engineers, dev-ops and production support staff to deliver robust software solutions
Ensure the team is collaborating effectively across functions

Requirements:

Java development with extensive hands-on experience with Spark programming
Strong knowledge of big data technologies like Hive and spark
Strong Knowledge in one of Java/Scala programming languages
Experience in designing solutions based on big data / spark methodology of development
Familiar with algorithms and design patterns
Familiarity with Linux environment including scripting skills
SDLC/Dev Ops - Git/BitBucket, CI/CD pipeline frameworks such as Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, Any secure coding toolkits
Proven engineering experience building robust, scalable and maintainable applications in the Capital Markets Technology industry (15+ years)
10+ years in a technical leadership role, with experience leading global technology teams
5+ years of hands-on experience in Big Data development using Spark, Hive on batch and real time processing
Graduate in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) discipline
Excellent oral and written English
Strong leadership
Ability to collaborate effectively in a large global team and influence key architectural decision
Ability to work well under pressure

Nice to have:

Master's degree preferred
Experience with Market Risk is a significant advantage
