Job Description:

Senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective is to lead applications systems analysis and development activities. This is a hands-on application development/support role in the financial industry.

Job Responsibility:

Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs
Lead applications systems analysis and development activities
Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology
Perform all phases of development activities including business analysis, architecture/application design, coding, testing, source code management and implementation
Provide user and production support on applications to business users
Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions
Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects
Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts
Assess risk when business decisions are made

Requirements:

6-10 years of relevant experience in financial industry
Strong understanding of financial industry - Markets business in Trade execution/Trade allocation/post-trade processes, particularly in clearing and settlement
Strong and well-rounded communications skills in English
Japanese skill is a plus
Extensive experience and knowledge on system analysis, system architecture and programming of software applications
Good understanding of SDLC - Waterfall, Iteration and Agile
6+ years of rich working experience on Java & Web development
Experience on observability implementation of distributed system
Experience on trouble shooting and application/Database performance tuning
Rich experience on SQL & Non-SQL DB, distributed cache design and development
Rich experience on Linux, MS-SQL, Shell, Perl, EMS, MQ, ECS Container architecture
Experience in implementing successful application development projects
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
Affable and a team player
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred

Japanese language skills
Master's degree
