Job Description:

This is a hands-on technical role involving building modern, scalable web applications for Citibank's Institutional Clients Group. The successful candidate will work as part of a globally distributed team using modern software development standards, DevOps practices, and advocating engineering excellence. This role focuses on middleware technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and NoSQL databases within a microservices architecture.

Job Responsibility:

Building applications for bankers
Demonstrating sound engineering principles across the SDLC
Advocating and advancing modern software development practices, including privacy and security first principles
Assisting teams with DevSecOps and SRE best practices to architect scalable and secure solutions
Contributing to software architecture improvements
Communicating with clients and project teams and clarifying technical solutions
Exploring existing applications for complexity and risk analyses.

Requirements:

Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in Backend Development
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
In-depth knowledge of JavaScript and its idiosyncrasies and a clear understanding of functional programming paradigms
Expertise in middleware technologies like Java, Spring Boot, GraphQL, NOSQL DBs and Kafka
Solid experience in an agile development environment
Extensive experience in testing User Interfaces.
