Job Description:

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is responsible for establishing and implementing revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team and contributing to programming activities. Candidate must independently handle tasks and design resilient software applications in the banking payments domain.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, and applications development
monitor and control all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation
provide user and operational support on applications to business users
utilize in-depth specialty knowledge to analyze complex problems and make judgments
recommend and develop security measures in post-implementation analysis
consult with users and other technology groups on issues and recommend solutions
serve as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts
ensure procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
assess risk when business decisions are made, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations.

Requirements:

Strong experience in systems design and development of software applications
experience in banking payments solution development and implementation in large banks
strong experience in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Kafka, MQ, Micro-service, Oracle, Mongo, Openshift, REST, Maven, Git, JUnit, TDD, Agile
strong knowledge on CI/CD pipeline and exposure to system design with resiliency backed by observability
having Python skills and GEN AI tools knowledge is a plus
strong experience in working with various payments schemes and messaging formats such as ISO 8583, ISO 20022, and SWIFT MX messages
strong technical and functional experience in working in the banking domain under the payment space like domestic (RTGS, GIRO, ACH etc.), international funds transfer, SWIFT/ISO20022 messaging, currency foreign exchange, AML monitoring, sanction screening
experience in data structures and object-oriented principles using Java 17
experience in cloud-native development and container orchestration tools (serverless, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Tekton, Harness, Jenkins)
hands-on experience with Jenkins, Maven, Git, and JUnit
troubleshooting skills using debuggers and logs
multiple years of experience with agile and iterative software delivery (SCRUM, Kanban)
proficiency in SQL databases, MongoDB, Oracle, and data analysis
exposure to event-driven design and architecture (Kafka, MQ)
exposure to security, observability, and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, CloudWatch)
work proactively and independently to address project requirements
code reviews, test case reviews, ensuring code quality.

GEN AI tools knowledge
experience with AI tools.
