Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst

• Participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs
• Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development
• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation
• Provide user and operational support on applications to business users
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues
• Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis
• Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
• Designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications and scripts
• Writing clean, efficient, well-documented code following industry best practices
• Debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing existing code and applications
• Collaborating with team members to gather requirements and deliver solutions
• Integrating third-party APIs and libraries into applications
• Ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of applications
• Lead the design and development of Java-based applications, focusing on middleware components
• Oversee the integration of front-end and back-end services
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with architecture teams to define technical strategies and solutions

• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• 5-10 years of experience in Java full-stack development, with significant middleware expertise
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture
• Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React)
• Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and enterprise integration patterns
• Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL)
• Experience in the financial services industry is preferred
