Job Description:

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The role involves contributing to applications systems analysis and programming activities, taking ownership of projects, and ensuring successful system design and functionality.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development
establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs
monitor and control all phases of development process, analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation
provide user and operational support on applications to business users
utilize in-depth knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues
provide evaluation of business and system processes and industry standards
recommend and develop security measures in post-implementation
consult with users/clients and technology groups
recommend advanced programming solutions
ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
serve as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts
operate with limited direct supervision
exercise independence of judgment and autonomy
act as SME to senior stakeholders and team members
assess risks when business decisions are made
demonstrate compliance and escalation practices

Requirements:

8-12 years of relevant experience
experience in managing and implementing successful projects
ability to take ownership and make technical decisions on software development projects
experience with dependency management, change management, continuous integration testing tools, and audit/compliance requirements
extensive knowledge of software engineering and object-oriented design
demonstrated leadership and management skills
consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
sound knowledge and development experience of Java 8, Streams and Lambda concepts
knowledge of Webflux
Spring Boot, Rest APIs, JUnit, code coverage
knowledge of design patterns
working experience on RDBMS and cache frameworks like Redis
knowledge of Microservices architecture and secure communication approaches
conceptual knowledge of High Availability, resiliency, and scalability of systems
working experience on Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift

Nice to have:

working experience on Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift
asynchronous programming experience
knowledge of Webflux
