Job Description:

The Applications Development Senior Manager is a senior management-level position responsible for managing a team to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs. The role involves providing technical oversight, conducting personnel duties, and ensuring risk assessments and compliance with laws and regulations. Advanced knowledge of the TANDEM platform, SPEI systems, SDLC and Agile methodologies, and programming languages like Cobol and C is essential.

Job Responsibility:

Manage one or more Applications Development teams
Conduct personnel duties such as performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions
Provide technical oversight across systems and applications
Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects
Contribute to formulating strategies for applications development
Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business integrate to accomplish goals
Provide evaluative judgment based on data analysis
Monitor delivery of end results
Participate in budget management
Handle day-to-day staff management issues
Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions
Ensure essential procedures are followed
Resolve high-impact problems or projects by evaluating business and system processes
Stay updated on developments within the payment systems and SPEI under Banxico regulation

Requirements:

6-10 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
Experience as Applications Development Manager
Experience as senior level in an Applications Development role
Stakeholder and people management experience
Demonstrated leadership skills
Proven project management skills
Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Advanced knowledge in platform TANDEM: NonStop Database, Pathway, OSS, GUARDIAN, and Tuxedo (mandatory)
Knowledge in payment systems, interbank transfers, and expertise in the SPEI v5.9+ manual (mandatory)
Knowledge in SDLC and Agile methodologies (mandatory)
Knowledge in Cobol and C programming languages (desirable)
Intermediate English (B2) (desirable)
