Job Description:

The Applications Development Senior Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Job Responsibility:

Manage one or more Applications Development teams in an effort to accomplish established goals as well as conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications
Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects
Contribute to formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas
Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business integrate to accomplish business goals
Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual data in complicated and unique situations
Impact the Applications Development area through monitoring delivery of end results, participate in budget management, and handling day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project
Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards negotiating with external parties when necessary
Designing, developing, and managing solutions in SQL PLSQL Snowflake with strong background in database architecture, performance tuning, and data integration, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to support BAU and change the bank work in Financial Adjustments & Entry Module (FAEM) and Citi Workflow Management tool (CWM)
Design, develop, and maintain DB solutions in Oracle , Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers, Implement database changes and enhancements
Develop and maintain logical and physical data models, Ensure data models align with business requirements and support data integrity and performance. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and define data requirements.
Monitor and optimize database performance, Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, Implement indexing strategies and query optimization techniques.
Perform database administration tasks, including backup and recovery, security management, and capacity planning
Work closely with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure database solutions meet business needs.
Provide SME expertise in FAEM and CWM areas to drive client discussions
Expertise in handling User queries for journal processing
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Analyze complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards to define and develop solutions to high level problems
Provide qualitative and quantitative estimation of efforts and resources required for implementation.
Resolving code vulnerabilities through in depth evaluation of business systems and processes.
Performing application programming and ensuring application stability adhering to design and architecture
Utilizing system design and application flow for coding, testing, debugging and implementing solutions.
Participating in Scrum events and delivering quality solutions in Agile

Requirements:

6-10 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
Experience as Applications Development Manager
Experience as senior level in an Applications Development role
Stakeholder and people management experience
Demonstrated leadership skills
Proven project management skills
Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Nice to have:

Master’s degree preferred
FFS, Citi Ledger and Components subject matter expertise preferred
Experience in implementing projects in Agile
Experience in systems analysis and programming of all underlying software in CWM and FAEM (SQL, PLSQL, Oracle DB, Snowflake)
Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) in CWM, FAEM and finance adjustments
Proven expertise in Agile Scrum Master role, Agile Coach and ability to conduct Scrum events
Demonstrated knowledge of client core business functions
Demonstrated leadership, project management, and development skills
Leadership, Relationship and consensus building skills
