Job Description:

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Citi's Global Trade Platform provides suit of international trade applications catering over 85+ countries worldwide. Trade Services platforms enables Global exporters and Importers to facilitate Trade and innovate their business needs.

Job Responsibility:

Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts to identify and define necessary system enhancements
Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions
Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications
Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging
Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions
Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience
Operate with a limited level of direct supervision
Exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
Act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members
Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup

Requirements:

2+ years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Strong experience designing Data solutions using microservices architecture
Knowledge of domain-driven design (DDD), event-driven architecture, and CQRS
Familiarity with API gateways (Kong, Apigee) and service mesh (Istio, Linkerd)
Java (8+), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
REST APIs, GraphQL
SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, or similar)
Kubernetes (deployments, Helm, config maps, secrets, scaling, rolling updates)
Docker (containerization)
CI/CD tools (Jenkins, uDeploy, Harness, Tekton)
Cloud-native deployment (AWS EKS / GCP GKE / Azure AKS)
Experience in Data engineering technologies
Messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Git (GitFlow / trunk-based development)
Unit & integration testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma, Cypress)
Monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI)
Security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security, OWASP)
Experience on Pro *C, C, C++
Experience on trade finance products development
Technology Migration project exposure
Experience on handling multiple teams and project management
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
